In fact, it will take a while before anyone realizes that this is Gulab Jamun the Bread. Some tips for making the best gulabrood jam. To make a delicious gulab jamun, use milk instead of water to knead the bread. If you add a quarter cup of reduced milk powder or hoya to the soft bread dough, you get a rich flavor that is close to the authentic taste of gulab jamon. This particular recipe of Gulab Bread Hamun does not require a leavening agent like baking powder. Add a pinch of cardamom powder to the bread dough and sugar syrup. Make sure the bread balls are smooth and free of cracks and cover with a damp cloth so they don’t dry out. Always bake the bread balls on a low heat so that they cook evenly.

Ingredients of the Bread Gulab – Bread Powder and Mawa

Make a smooth and supple dough using bread powder, mawa and 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder and add a tablespoon of milk at a time. Add one batch of milk at a time and continue mixing until smooth and fluffy. Press the dough into smooth balls the size of gooseberries and cover with a damp cloth until the oil is hot to fry.

Heat enough oil to fry the bread balls. Once the oil is hot, turn the heat down to low and very carefully place a few balls of bread in it. Don’t put too many bread balls in the container and don’t touch the balls for at least one minute. Do not touch them and gently move the dumplings with a flat spoon so they cook evenly.

Mava bread baked in oil

When the bread balls turn golden, remove them and immediately add them to the sugar syrup and simmer over low heat for one minute. Turn off the heat and let the balls soak in the sugar syrup for a few minutes to an hour. Once the gulab jamun swells and becomes heavy, you know it’s ready. Stick one in your mouth to see if it has absorbed the sugar syrup, and you definitely won’t stop.

To make the sugar syrup, heat 1 1/2 cups sugar and 3 cups water and let the sugar dissolve. Add half the spam cardamom and simmer the sugar syrup over low heat for at least 10 minutes or until it thickens slightly.
