Now that Taco Bell kitchens are exploding, favourites like Nacho Fries are relegated to a limited shelf life status. They seem to come and go about three times a year, so let’s take a look at their stuffed fries creation, Nacho Fries BellGrande.
This is how the Taco Bell website describes Nacho Fries BellGrande :
Who even imagined these things? It turns out there’s a genius in the kitchen. Recently, they had the great idea of adding a generous serving of spiced beef, tomato cubes, low-fat sour cream and that magical hot nacho cheese sauce to their nachos – crispy fries with bold Mexican spices. They’re rightly called Nacho Fries BellGrand.
Nacho fries from Taco Bell have been coming and going for years. In a spice that Taco Bell describes as cheeky and Mexican, the roasted meat is dried in the spice. To me it has always tasted like a salt spice with a light fajita spice. Still, they’ve always been delicious and they come with a nacho cheese, so you really shouldn’t complain.
It should be noted that before I entered the magazine, I had a pretty terrible ordering and receiving process with my local Taco Bell for this position. I ordered via the mobile app and took it from the player. Let’s just say the trip lasted more than half an hour and I ended up getting the wrong order. Fortunately, Nacho Fries BellGrande was in that order, otherwise this revision would have been postponed for some time.
My biggest concern about nachos or loaded fries is the traditional possibility of a wet dog. We’ve all been there: The tortilla chips or frying bottom are so overloaded with toppings and sauce that they become a mass of sticky, faded nonsense. It is always difficult for restaurants to taste and show off extra ingredients without destroying the vehicle most customers use to show you the whole thing.
When I opened a cup of Nacho BellGrande fries, I was somewhat reassured by the fact that the fries themselves did not seem to have been dipped in nacho cheese sauce. Some of the fries have even proven to be simple, so you can use them for dipping without getting your hands dirty.
I was immediately disappointed that the fries weren’t super crunchy and I immediately bowed out for adversity. This soon became a fork in the road. I’d say the combination of ingredients works well as a loaded roast. It is not common to find a taco-inspired filled fryer, which makes it a relatively unique Taco Bell offering.
The flavors certainly go well together and provide a very reasonable set of flavors. I’ll say the nachos are either completely lost in the mix, or they forgot to put it on. It’s definitely a downside, because spices steal the limelight for me. But there are many other things that make most people have a good experience.
Nacho BellGrande fries combine the effort of a standard nacho dish with the delicacy of fries. Although it is difficult to eat them without a fork, and it is better to eat them fresh from the kitchen than to take them with you, loaded fries taste like cheese and meat and work well, even though the seasoning of the fries is under witness protection.
